Kalsoom Abbas

Kalsoom Abbas started their work experience in 2012, when they worked at the University of Toronto CTEP as a Content and Media Coordinator. Kalsoom specialized in Drupal front-end development and website accessibility. Kalsoom also collaborated with department heads to create graphics and manage site content.

In 2013, Abbas joined Rainbow Jade as a Graphic Web Designer, where they developed, designed, and maintained client websites. Kalsoom also wrote HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript, and PHP codes for web design, as well as photographed and edited product images.

During the same year, they also worked at KRU Marketing as a Web Analytics & Graphic Consultant. Kalsoom assisted with website development, UI/UX design, and created reports. Kalsoom also provided brand management consultation and utilized digital media strategies for profitable traffic. Their tenure at KRU Marketing lasted until 2015.

From 2014 to 2016, Abbas worked at ScoutTech Outfitters as a Web Content Manager. Kalsoom developed the company's website and mobile template, optimized customer experience through UI/UX design, and conducted web data research and analysis for performance improvement.

In 2017, they joined Paralucent as a Creative PM and Web Content Coordinator/Developer. In this role, they managed the website's product cycle, implemented site updates, and ensured ongoing maintenance. Kalsoom was responsible for optimizing the Magento Ecommerce websites and identifying and resolving errors.

Kalsoom Abbas has a diverse education history. In 2015, they attended OCAD University and obtained a Continuing Education Certificate in Web Page, Digital/Multimedia, and Information Resources Design. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Toronto Mississauga between 2009 and 2013. Their degree was in Communication, Culture and Information Technology, with a focus on Industrial Relations and Human Resources. Additionally, from 2011 to 2013, they attended Sheridan College and earned a Diploma in Digital Communication and Media/Multimedia. Furthermore, Kalsoom has also obtained a certification as a Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from the Scrum Alliance in November 2019.
