Alberto Velasco has extensive experience in public service and law enforcement, currently serving as a Board Member and Sports Director at the Paralyzed Veterans of America since 2009. Prior to this role, Alberto held the position of Evidence Custodian at the US Fish and Wildlife Service from September 2014 to June 2019 and served as the Police Department Training Coordinator for the Village of Oak Park from November 2010 to September 2014. Alberto also worked as a Military Liaison and Congressional Assistant to Chief Deputy Whip Peter J. Roskam in the U.S. House of Representatives from September 2009 to December 2010. Earlier in career, Alberto was a Patrol Officer for the Village of Oak Park from September 2001 to July 2008 and served in the United States Marine Corps as a SSGT from September 1998 to October 2006. Alberto's educational background includes coursework at the College of DuPage from 2013 to 2016 and studies at City Colleges of Chicago-Wilbur Wright College from 1999 to 2001.
