Heather Ansley

Chief Policy Officer at Paralyzed Veterans of America

Heather Ansley has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of policy and government relations. Heather began their career in 2008 as the Director of Policy and Advocacy at Lutheran Services in America Disability Network. From there, they moved on to VetsFirst, a program of United Spinal Association, where they held various positions including Director of Veterans Policy, Vice President of Veterans Policy, and finally Vice President. In 2015, they joined Paralyzed Veterans of America, initially serving as the Associate General Counsel for Corporate and Government Relations. Heather later became the Associate Executive Director of Government Relations and currently holds the position of Chief Policy Officer.

Heather Ansley completed their Juris Doctorate (JD) from Washburn University School of Law, specializing in Law, from 2004 to 2006. Prior to this, they obtained their Masters of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Missouri-Columbia, with a focus on Social Work, during the years 1999 to 2001.
