Dale Rosenthal

Director, Derivatives Research at Parametric

Dale Rosenthal has a diverse work experience in the finance industry. Dale currently serves as the Director of Derivatives Research at Parametric starting in 2022. Prior to that, they held the role of Head Partner at Q36 LLC, where they were responsible for consulting and served as a Data Scientist for an alternatives asset management firm. Dale also worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago as a Member of the Financial Markets Working Group. Dale has been involved in organizing the R/Finance Conference as a Co-Organizer. Dale worked as a Consultant for a proprietary trading firm and played a significant role in designing infrastructure for research and backtesting. Dale was an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where they taught various market-oriented courses and conducted research in finance. Additionally, early in their career, Dale worked as a Trader at Morgan Stanley in their Equity Trading Lab, specializing in proprietary trading and quantitative research.

Dale Rosenthal's education history includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Cornell University, which was obtained from 1991 to 1995. Later, from 2003 to 2008, Dale pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Statistics from the University of Chicago. Additionally, from 2005 to 2006, Dale was a visiting PhD student at Northwestern University.
