Mario Carrion is an accomplished software engineering manager with extensive experience in building sophisticated engineering solutions. Currently serving as Manager of Software Engineering for VOD Streaming at Paramount since December 2023, Mario focuses on enhancing the user experience on Paramount+ using Go (golang). Previously, as a Distinguished Software Engineer and Director at Capital One, Mario led the development of a next-generation Cloud Compliance and Security Platform. Mario’s career also includes a significant tenure as Senior Director of Backend Engineering at Meredith Corporation, where Mario played a key role in architecting enterprise systems for advertising products. Earlier experiences include leadership and architectural roles at Selectable Media and Novell, along with foundational work in automation systems at Tesis Automation & IT. Mario holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico de Veracruz, completed in 2005.
