Waldo Santos

Waldo Santos is an experienced professional with a background in IT architecture and software engineering. Waldo has held various roles throughout their career, starting with a position as a Support Analyst at D&E Entretenimento in 1999. Waldo then worked as a Software Analyst at Via Lógica Sistemas e Serviços LTDA, where they focused on the development and maintenance of software systems.

In 2003, Santos joined Banco do Nordeste do Brasil S.A as a Senior Support Analyst, where they were responsible for designing and implementing database implementations requested by application development teams. Waldo also played a role in planning change orders and analyzing database problems.

Santos then moved on to HSBC Global Technology Brazil in 2007, where they worked as a Senior Consultant Specialist. In this role, they coordinated IT operations teams and led projects focused on continual process improvement, cost reduction, automation, and re-work avoidance.

In 2016, Santos joined Scopus Soluções em TI as a Project Leader, where they coordinated resource allocation for new projects and conducted brainstorming exercises to build an IT Service Catalog. Later that year, they joined Bradesco as an IT Architect, where they provided IT solutions based on application, data, and infrastructure architectures. Waldo also supported IT operations and projects areas by developing strategies to upgrade technologies.

From 2017 to 2022, Santos held various roles at Bradesco, including Business Architect and Enterprise Architect. In these positions, they led architecture projects, delivered architecture models aligned with the target state, and provided architecture recommendations and solutions alignment reports.

Their most recent position was at Rede D'Or São Luiz, where they worked as the Enterprise Architecture & Software Engineering Head and IT Senior Manager. In this role, they led enterprise architecture, software engineering, and Integrations CoE teams to improve and expand digital transformation programs in the health and care industry. Their main focus was on delivering consistent architecture strategy, design authority, and agile architecture deliverables.

In 2023, Santos will be joining Paraná Banco S/A as the CTO and Superintendente Executivo.

Waldo Santos completed their Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from Universidade Positivo from 2007 to 2011. Waldo later pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Business Administration and Management, General from ISAE from 2016 to 2017.

In addition to their formal education, Waldo has obtained multiple certifications. Waldo earned the Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals and Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certifications from Microsoft in August 2021. In February 2019, they achieved The Open Group Certified: TOGAF® 9 Certified certification and the TOGAF 9 Foundation level certification from The Open Group. Waldo also holds the CPA-20 (Certificação Profissional ANBIMA - Série 20) certification from ANBIMA Certificação e Educação, which they obtained in November 2018.

Furthermore, Waldo Santos has acquired several other certifications throughout their career. These include the ITIL® Continual Service Improvement Certificate from EXIN in February 2016, the IBM Certified Database Associate - DB2 10.1 Fundamentals from IBM in September 2015, and the EXIN Foundation Bridge in IT Service Management based on ISO/IEC 20000 from EXIN in August 2015. Waldo also holds the ITIL® Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from EXIN (April 2015), the Project Management Professional (PM) certification from HSBC (March 2015), and the Project Management Proficient (APM) certification from HSBC (November 2014).
