Ben Novak

Ben Novak currently serves as the Senior Director of Government Affairs at Paratek Pharmaceuticals since September 2024. Prior experience includes serving as the Senior Director of Business Development and Government Engagement and Director of Business Development at SIGA Technologies from October 2019 to September 2024. Ben's tenure at the FDA, from May 2011 to September 2019, included roles such as Director/Acting Director of the Office of Resource Planning and Strategic Management and Deputy Director for Resource Planning within the Office of Foods and Veterinary Medicine. Earlier experience involved positions at the US Department of Health and Human Services, including Senior Program Analyst, as well as engagements in research and policy at Carnegie Mellon University and The National Academies. Ben holds a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management from Carnegie Mellon University and dual degrees (BSE in Biomedical Engineering and BA in Political Science) from the University of Pittsburgh.
