Axel K. is an experienced software engineer with a wide range of work experience. Axel began their career in 2001 as a Computer Programmer and Management Hosting & Technics for PNM Pütz Neue Medien GmbH. In 2009, they became a Research Assistant for the Internet Technologies Group at Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW). From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Software Engineer for adyard GmbH, where they extended and optimized the existing ad server technologie in compliance with the highly distributed server infrastructure, introduced the NoSQL database MongoDB in several products, and built a new backend infrastructure for Real Time Bidding platform. In 2012, Axel K. became a Software Engineer for ICANS GmbH, where they were part of a team of 30 engineers to build a framework for e-learning communities, added a search appliance to provide users quick access to relevant content, and developed a scalable system to process user activity reports from business partners. Axel K. began their educational journey in 1998 when they obtained a Technical Assistant in Computer Science from Physikalisch-Technische Lehranstalt Wedel. Axel then attended Fachhochschule Wedel from 2003-2004, studying Computer Science in Media. Axel K. continued their studies at the University of Cape Town from 2008-2009, studying Computer Science and Statistics. Finally, Axel K. obtained a Bachelor of Science in Applied Computer Science from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences from 2006-2010. Additionally, Axel K. is an ISTQB® Certified Tester.
