Joe Segura

Joe joined Parent/Child Incorporated (PCI) in November 1987. Mrs. Doxie was promoted in 1997, to Head Start/Early Head Start Coordinator. Mrs. Doxie’s primary responsibilities include supervising the Operations Department, which consist of the daily operations of the Child Development Center, including Health, Disabilities, Mental Health, ERSEA and Family Engagement services. She is an active member of the Texas Head Start Association, National Head Start Association, National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and National B Child Development Institute (NBCDI). Prior to joining PCI, Mrs. Doxie worked with the City of San Antonio as a data entry clerk, as well as worked at several federal agencies including the Veterans Administration and the Social Security Department. She graduated from Wayland University in 2006, with a Bachelor of Arts in Occupational Education. Mrs. Doxie is a native of Chillicothe, Ohio and graduated from Huntington High School. Over the years, she has received several awards for her work ethic and for her service in the community. Mrs. Doxie is an active member at the Refuge Church of our Lord, where she currently volunteers in the Marriage Ministry department. Mrs. Doxie and her husband, retired San Antonio Police Officer for the City of San Antonio, Mr. Phillip Doxie, have been married for 13 years and share two children Phillip Doxie and Manika Glass, including three wonderful grandchildren.
