Christiane Niederlaender has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and organizations. Christiane began their career in 1997 as a Post Doctoral Research Fellow at Cancer Research UK (CRUK) and later worked at The Institute of Cancer Research in the same role from 1998 to 2003. Christiane then transitioned into regulatory affairs, joining the Human Tissue Authority as a Regulation Manager from 2007 to 2011. From 2011 to 2019, they held multiple positions at the MHRA, including Quality Assessor, Deputy Unit Manager, Senior Quality Assessor, and Acting Unit Manager, all within the Biologicals division. Christiane also served as the UK delegate for the Committee for Advanced Therapies (CAT) at the European Medicines Agency from 2015 to 2019. In 2019, they joined AMBR Consulting as an Independent Regulatory Consultant and Director before taking on their current role as Vice President (Technical) at Parexel in 2021.

Christiane Niederlaender received their Ph.D. in Molecular Developmental Neurobiology and Cell signalling from King's College London from 1993 to 1996. Prior to that, they completed their Diplom Biologe in Neurobiology, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology at Heidelberg University from 1988 to 1993. In 2005, they obtained a Bar Vocational Qualification from Inns of Court School of Law. Christiane also earned a Common Professional Examination (Dip. Law) degree in Law from Oxford Brookes University in 2004.
