Stephen Benson

Stephen Benson, Ph.D., serves as the President of Paris Junior College since June 2024, bringing extensive experience in higher education administration. Prior roles include Vice President of Finance and Administration at McLennan Community College from April 2017 to June 2024, and Vice President for Business Services at Florida Gateway College from July 2014 to March 2017. Stephen also held the position of Vice President for Finance and Administration at New River Community and Technical College between January 2010 and June 2014, and was Chief Financial Officer at William R. Sharpe Jr. Hospital from April 2008 to December 2009. Earlier in the career, Stephen served as Director of Administrative Services at West Virginia Wesleyan College from May 1997 to March 2008. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from Keiser University-Ft Lauderdale, a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership from Mountain State University, and a Bachelor of Music Education from West Virginia Wesleyan College.
