Veneeta Phelps

Veneeta Phelps has extensive experience in the educational sector, serving as a School Principal at Park Forest - Chicago Heights District 163 from August 2021 to the present, after holding the position of Assistant Principal from September 2018 to June 2021. Prior to this, Veneeta worked as an Assistant Principal at Maywood School District 89 from August 2011 to June 2013, after being involved in Instructional Services at the same district from July 2003 to June 2011. The educational career began as a Classroom Teacher at Maywood School from March 1991 to June 2003 and at Sayler Park Elementary School for Cincinnati Public Schools from January 1985 to December 1990, where a focus on teaching science to high-achieving students in grades 4-6 was emphasized. Veneeta holds a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Governors State University and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from The Ohio State University.
