Steve O'Brocto

Steve O'Brocto has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Steve began their career in 1982 as an Electronics Technician at North American Philips Corp., where they tested and repaired RCA two-way radios and mobile telephones. Steve then joined IBM in 1984, where they held various roles, including Senior Systems Test Specialist and Technical Laboratory Specialist. At IBM, they tested, debugged, and repaired multiple mainframe systems, and also served as a Quality Circle Leader. In 1994, Steve joined Allen-Myland Inc. as a Senior Technical Support Engineer, providing level 3 technical support to maintenance provider partners on storage systems. Steve worked there for 23 years before joining Park Place Technologies in 2017. At Park Place Technologies, they initially worked as a Research and Development Engineer and later assumed the role of Senior Research and Development Engineer and R&D Team Lead - Hardware in 2022.

Steve O'Brocto completed an Associate Degree in Applied Science (AAS) in Computer Engineering Technology from Tampa Technical Institute in 1982-1983. Prior to that, they studied Music Education at Bucks County Community College in 1977, St. Leo University in 1978-1979, and The University of Southern Mississippi in 1979-1981.
