Omarlla Roulhac

Head of Lower School at PARK SCHOOL OF BUFFALO

Omarlla Roulhac joined The Park School in July 2021. She is originally from Syracuse, New York and relocated to Buffalo in 1996 to attend Buffalo State College and has been here ever since! After graduating from Buffalo State College with her Masters of Science in Elementary Education, she began working on the East Side of Buffalo at the King Center Charter School, where she served 19 years.

With a rich background in curriculum and instruction, she most recently served as the schools’ Director of Curriculum and Instruction. She has extensive teaching experience as well, including lead classroom teacher and interventionist for at-risk students. She was a member of the school’s leadership team for the past 13 years and is well-versed in student and course data analysis, innovative academic plans and curriculum mapping. She also worked to create school-wide systems for increase proficiency levels for all students in grades K-8 while working closely with her team of classroom teachers, specialists, and academic coaches. She strongly believes in providing high-quality instruction and active hands-on learning experiences for all students. Omarlla is thrilled to continue to use her skills to create rigorous and enjoyable learning experiences for the children at the Park School.

Omarlla’s interests and hobbies include home DIY projects, decorating, organizing, and spending time with families and friends. She was also an NFL Buffalo Jills Cheerleader from 2000-2013 where she served as team captain and the 2004 NFL Pro Bowl representative for her team. During her time with the Jills, she traveled world wide and participated in over 1000 hours of volunteer and charity work around Buffalo and abroad!
