Stephan George

History Teacher, & Upper School Student Government Adviser at PARK SCHOOL OF BUFFALO

Steve George has been teaching history and politics at The Park School of Buffalo since 2008. He is also a 1997 Park graduate. His particular area of expertise is American History, political science, and economics. He has taught classes such as Behavioral Economics, Public Policy, Presidential Character, and AP United States Government and Politics. Prior to coming to Park, Steve taught American History to 8th graders in Prince George’s County, MD for two years and History of the Western Hemisphere to 7th graders in Albuquerque, NM for one.

Steve is a long-time Buffalonian and attended Park from the 7th grade through the 12th , graduating in 1997. For Steve, Park was a place where he could take academic risks without the social pressures common at other schools. His positive experience at Park left Steve deeply committed to the school as a nurturing community and a strong proponent of its philosophy of inclusive, student-centered learning.

Steve holds a Masters Degree in Education from Canisius College and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Allegheny College.
