Hartleigh Caine is the managing partner at [Parker Remick](/org/parker-remick). Hartleigh has a long history of working in leadership roles in both the private and public sector.

Caine began their career as an assistant professor in economics at the United States Military Academy at West Point. Hartleigh then served as the deputy commander of an attack helicopter battalion in the 4th Infantry Division. In 2009, they were promoted to vice president of TOTE Maritime Alaska, where they oversaw operations for the company.

In 2012, Caine left their position at TOTE Maritime Alaska to become the chief of operations for the Stryker Brigade, 2nd Infantry Division. In this role, they were responsible for the daily operations of a 2,000 member group. Hartleigh also planned and executed receptions for redeploying soldiers and their families.

After their time with the Stryker Brigade, Caine returned to [Parker Remick](/org/parker-remick), where they now serves as managing partner.

Hartleigh Caine's educational career includes a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School in organizational leadership, real estate, and green business. Hartleigh also has a Bachelor's Science degree in economics from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Logan Pirkl-Demarest is a Principal Consultant at [Parker Remick](/org/parker-remick). Logan has worked in the rowiing industry for many years, developing their skills as an assistant coach at Rose City Rowing Club from June 2015 to August 2015. Logan then moved on to work as a Bibliography Assistant at the Center for Digital Research and Scholarship, [Columbia University](/org/columbia-university) from September 2013 to April 2015. Logan's experience and dedication to their work was recognized by [Columbia University](/org/columbia-university), who awarded him as an outstanding student employee. Logan's knowledge and experience in the rowing industry makes him a valuable asset to [Parker Remick](/org/parker-remick).

Victor Almazan is currently an Associate at [Parker Remick](/org/parker-remick). Prior to that, they worked as a Client Manager at ReedHein & Associates from October 2019 to January 2021. From August 2018 to May 2019, they were a World Traveler. And before that, they were the Campaign lead at [Mi Familia Vota](/org/mi-familia-vota) from August 2017 to August 2018.

Victor Almazan's educational career includes earning a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Arizona.

April Garrett is a Principal Consultant at [Parker Remick](/org/parker-remick), a position they have held since December 2020. Prior to that, they were the Chief Operating Officer + Director of Licensing at Jonathan Mannion Photography from January 2015 to December 2020, where they optimized daily business and licensing operations for a world-renowned photographer. April also served as the Multimedia Producer + Writer + Host at The AYG List from January 2013 to January 2015, producing multimedia content featuring intimate conversations with fascinating people possessing uncommon commitment to owning their stories and achieving their personal visions.

April Garrett has a Master of Arts in Religion/Religious Studies from [Harvard University](/org/harvard), a Master of Education in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion/Religious Studies from [Kenyon College](/org/kenyon-college). April also has training from the Audio Documentary Institute at the Center for Documentary Studies at [Duke University](/org/duke-university), Landmark, and a 10-day course from the Dhamma Pubbananda Vipassana Meditation Center.

April Garrett

Jason focuses primarily on partnering with internet and mobile software technology companies to find engineering, security & data leadership. He has worked with large corporate innovators like Amazon, Google & [eBay](/org/ebay) as well as high growth startups in the portfolios of investors like [Greylock](/org/greylock), Google Ventures, a16z & Sequoia. While about 60% of Jason’s work has been in the bay area, he’s worked both nationally an internationally on assignments, with a special focus on the US west coast.

Prior to re-joining [Parker Remick](/org/parker-remick) in 2017, he led US executive search for an executive search firm based in Australia. Before getting into executive search he co-founded a consultancy aimed at developing support for high-speed rail in Washington State, managed senior state-level political campaigns and has taught communication classes at his alma mater.

Fun Facts about Jason: In college, he was ranked among the top ten debaters in the US. In high school, he taught himself HTML and built websites for local businesses as well as teaching web programming to elementary & middle school students.

He earned a BA from [Western Washington University](/org/western-washington-university) and majored in Political Science, concentrating on International Relations.

Jason Heck

Grant is a Partner and joined [Parker Remick](/org/parker-remick) in 2010. He manages leadership searches for significant technology companies like Square, Twitter and [Riot Games](/org/riot-games) as well as startups such as [Kitty Hawk](/org/kitty-hawk), [Rocket Lawyer](/org/rocket-lawyer-incorporated) and [BloomNation](/org/bloomnation). Prior to working as a Partner, Grant managed the firm’s research department and helped source candidates for clients including Google, [Twilio](/org/twilio) and [Pinterest](/org/pinterest). Grant’s focus has primarily been on Engineering leadership searches, although he also has experience with Product, UI/UX, Marketing, and Security.

In his spare time, Grant enjoys poker, cooking, and is an avid skier. Grant has a BA in Government from [Cornell University](/org/cornell-university) and a MA in American Government from [Georgetown University](/org/georgetown-university).

He’s led a boutique consulting firm of 800 people, co-founded a startup and cut his teeth in his first 10 years at the world’s largest management consulting firm. He’s been a developer, launched products, reengineered processes, optimized sales efficacy and built successful teams from 1 to 100+.

His passion is shaping culture and growing our business by aligning the professional motivations of our people with the vision and strategies of our business. His teams have been recognized as Best Places to Work for small, mid-sized and large companies, women and millennials.

Outside work, Chuck serves on the board of [NatureBridge](/org/naturebridge), plays drums, dabbles in software development, enjoys yoga and spends a great deal of time with his wife and two sons. Kelley joined [Parker Remick](/org/parker-remick) in 2016 and advises both private and public companies on leadership
searches in Engineering, Product, and Marketing with a primary focus in Product leadership. Before
joining [Parker Remick](/org/parker-remick), Kelley served as Managing Director at Herd Freed Hartz, where she
conducted senior-level search assignments across technology, consumer, and professional
services sectors in the Pacific Northwest. Kelley graduated from the University of Washington,
Michael G. Foster School of Business with honors with a BA, MIS and Finance.

Fun facts about Kelley: Outside of spending time with her husband and two teen children, she is an
avid hiker, lifelong U2 fan, and active community volunteer. She also enjoys fly fishing and
practicing yoga.

A Co-Founder of [Parker Remick](/org/parker-remick), Rob is a consultant with the firm. He advises both public and private companies (funded by the world’s top tech investors) on leadership searches in engineering, product management, UX and design, and marketing.

Kevin and Rob partnered in 2000, as the firm transitioned its headquarters from Europe to the United States where it has steadily grown. Earlier, Rob ran an interior design firm and then started an online marketplace for home furnishing consumers.

Rob earned an AB in Political Science/Theory from [Kenyon College](/org/kenyon-college) and a JD from the [Illinois Institute of Technology](/org/illinois-institute-of-technology). Fun Fact about Rob: Although Rob was a state-champion soccer player as a lad, he’s now more likely to be found playing squash with his wife, Amy, and their children.

Carolyn joined [Parker Remick](/org/parker-remick) in 2018. Prior to joining PR she led searches for Expedia and all its brands globally. In her previous role at [Spencer Stuart](/org/spencer-stuart) she executed searches as a member of the global technology practice. Earlier in her career Carolyn worked for Korn/Ferry International in Australia and the US and [Heidrick & Struggles](/org/heidrick-struggles) in Australia, Japan and the US focusing on technology leadership roles.

Carolyn has a BA Hons in History from the [University of Melbourne](/org/university-of-melbourne).

Fun Facts about Carolyn: She is keen home cook who loves trying new recipes and supporting her local farmers market. When not in her kitchen she enjoys hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and planning her next travel adventure.

Ed graduated from Princeton University with an AB in Politics and has an MBA from Stanford University.

Jeff Markham brings more than 18 years of experience to Parker Remick partnering with hiring executives and board-level search committees on executive talent acquisition, succession planning, and executive talent development. Previously, Jeff held leadership roles with Herd Freed Hartz and Nosal Partners. He also managed the talent acquisition teams for ACME Business Consulting and Tripwire. Jeff has a BS in Business Administration and Speech Communication from Oregon State University.

Fun facts about Jeff: He is an avid marathon runner, NYC is his favorite, and he’s completed it many times over. He’s also one of the best dressed single digit handicap golfers you’ll find.

Jeff Markham

Our founding partner, Kevin, uses 20 years of executive search experience, international background and an abundance of British wit to work on some of the most senior searches at Parker Remick. He has led numerous C and V-level searches for clients such as Google, Amazon, eBay, Square and Pinterest. He also leads business development activities for the firm.

Before founding Parker Remick in 1998, Kevin led the technology practice at FSS International, a global executive search firm.

Outside of work, Kevin serves on the boards of the Humane Society and WeSNIP, hikes, and participates in triathlons. Fun Fact about Kevin: He is a trained meteorologist; although his dream of being a TV weatherman got rained upon, he can still predict the weather with astounding accuracy.

Kevin holds a BSc in Psychology from Plymouth University in the UK.
