Chris Holmes

Chris Holmes has extensive experience in community development and education, currently serving as the Head of Community Programmes and Group Development at Parkinson's UK since March 2013. In this role, Chris leads initiatives that support volunteer-run groups, provide resources for newly diagnosed individuals, and promote physical activity's importance in managing Parkinson's symptoms. Previous positions at Parkinson's UK include Head of Community Planning and Programmes and Community Development Programme Manager, focusing on enhancing community engagement and support. Prior to this tenure, Chris held various managerial roles at the RSPCA, where efforts centered on improving animal welfare education, and served as an Education Adviser for Leeds City Council. Chris holds a Master's degree in Education from the University of Leeds and a Bachelor's degree in Education from Bretton Hall College, University of Leeds.
