Mairi Gordon (Gordon-Pooran) is currently serving as a Campaigns and Policy Officer at Parkinson's UK since August 2024. Previously, Mairi worked at the Mental Health Foundation as a Senior Participation & Policy Officer from February 2022 to August 2024, focusing on lived experience engagement to shape public mental health policy and address mental health inequalities in Scotland. Mairi's experience also includes roles at Samaritans as a Policy & Communications Officer, where Mairi developed external profiles and influenced policy through stakeholder engagement. At Girlguiding Scotland, Mairi promoted youth voices and led campaigns on prevalent issues affecting girls. Mairi began career at The Prince's Trust, initially as an Outreach Executive in Communications and Marketing, later becoming a Marketing and Communications Executive, where Mairi facilitated communication strategies to reach young people. Mairi holds a MA Honours in Social Policy and Law from The University of Edinburgh and a Post Graduate Diploma in Newspaper Journalism from Cardiff University.
