Bob Nichols

Bob Nichols has extensive experience in network and telecommunications management, currently serving as Manager for Network and Telecommunications at Alberta Blue Cross since July 2019. In addition, Bob holds a long-term position as Fire Lieutenant and Firefighter with Parkland County since 2008, with certifications including NFPA 1001 Level 2 and NFPA 1002 Pumping and Aerial Operator. Previous roles include IT Manager and System Administrator at Parkland County, providing server and network administration, as well as Network Support Technician. Earlier career experience includes Desktop Support Technician at Weatherford, supporting around 150 users in Nisku and Red Deer, and a Cooperative Education Student role at Weatherford for desktop support. Bob holds a Computer Engineering Technology degree with Honours from NAIT and further education from the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Extension.
