Bruce McDaniels

Bruce McDaniels has a strong background in IT management and project management. Bruce started their career at Frito-Lay, Inc. as a Systems Engineer and IT Project Manager, responsible for overseeing middleware and messaging platforms. Bruce then moved on to Deloitte Consulting, where they worked as a Senior Consultant, conducting assessments and implementing recommendations for various clients. McDaniels then joined TXU, where they held leadership positions and managed operating budgets and staff, including establishing a program office for managing concurrent projects. Bruce later worked at Blockbuster, Inc. as a Senior IT Project Manager, where they implemented infrastructure delivery methodology and toolsets to reduce delivery times. McDaniels then worked at GMAC Mortgage as an IT Program Manager, delivering complex projects and managing migrations and cost improvement initiatives. Bruce also worked at PepsiCo, where they held roles such as Program Manager and PMO Manager, implementing project management standards and best practices and creating a portfolio management methodology. McDaniels most recent position was at Parkland Hospital, where they served as the VP, Chief Information Security Officer, overseeing IT operations and service management. Throughout their career, McDaniels has demonstrated strong leadership, project management, and IT skills.

Bruce McDaniels has an extensive education history. Bruce completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of Colorado Boulder from 1979 to 1984. Following this, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Boston University between 1987 and 1989. Continuing their academic journey, Bruce obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Information Systems from the University of Dallas in 1992 and 1993. Furthermore, in recent years, Bruce has obtained additional professional certifications including Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2020 and the Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.
