Gbemiga Okunjemiruwa

Gbemiga Okunjemiruwa has over 25 years of experience in procurement and finance roles. Gbemiga'smost recent position was as the Procurement Lead/Head of Procurement at Parkland School Division, where they provided leadership to the procurement team and managed all procurement and contract activities. Prior to that, Gbemiga worked as a Senior Procurement Specialist at Rocky View Schools Division and as a Senior Procurement Coordinator at Olds College, where they were responsible for timely procurement and contract management. Gbemiga also has experience as a Senior Buyer at the City of Edmonton and as a Procurement Coordinator at ATCO Energy Solutions, where they managed procurement professionals and implemented process improvements. Earlier in their career, Gbemiga held positions at Airtel Nigeria as the Lead SCM Process System Automation and Business Control, at Ericsson Nigeria as a Project Cost Controller, and at Marc & Mei Nigeria Limited as the Head of Finance. Throughout their career, Gbemiga has demonstrated skills in vendor management, contract negotiation, procurement planning, and financial analysis.

Gbemiga Okunjemiruwa holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Financial Management from Lagos State University, which they obtained from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they completed a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from Yaba College of Technology, where they studied from 1988 to 1993. In addition, Gbemiga has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2000, they became an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (CA). In 2012, they achieved membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchase and Supply (UK) (MCIPS). Lastly, in 2013, they earned the certification of Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) from the Supply Chain Management Association.
