Karen Beam

VP Quality & Clinical Performance at Parkridge Health System

Karen Beam has extensive experience in the healthcare industry. Karen began their career in 1983 at Erlanger Health System, where they worked as an ICU/PACU Staff Nurse and Assistant Nurse Manager for 14 years. In 2006, they joined Parkridge Health System as the VP of Quality and Clinical Performance, a role they held for six years. Karen then moved to HCA in 2012, where they served as the TriStar Division VP of Quality and Clinical Performance for three years. In 2015, Karen returned to Parkridge Health System as the VP of Quality and Clinical Performance.

Karen Beam earned their Master's of Science degree in Nursing Administration from Middle Tennessee State University from 2005 to 2013. Prior to that, from 1980 to 1983, they attended Erlanger School of Nursing to obtain their Nursing degree. In addition to their education, they obtained two certifications: Certified Professional in Patient Safety from IHI and Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from NAHQ in December 2013.
