Carissa M. Wong currently serves as a Project Manager for Ontario at Parks Canada, overseeing initiatives in the National Parks Establishment. As an Appointed Member of the Toronto Local Appeal Body and an Advisor with Diversity in Sustainability, Carissa contributes to equity and inclusion within sustainable development. As an Executive Member of the Ontario Bar Association's Environmental Law Section, Carissa has facilitated discussions on the intersection of environmental law and human rights. As Principal at Carissa Wong Barrister & Solicitor, Carissa provides trauma-informed legal services to marginalized communities and has engaged in significant Indigenous land claim negotiations. Carissa has a long history of leadership roles, including as Board Director and Founding Chair of the Women's Committee at the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers. With diverse educational credentials, including a Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa and a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University, Carissa combines legal expertise with a strong commitment to environmental justice and sustainability.
