Justin Canny

Justin Canny is currently serving as the Community Access and Logistics Coordinator at Metro Parks Tacoma, where the focus is on developing community access for after-school programs across 37 Tacoma Elementary Schools to enhance social emotional learning and student engagement. Prior experience includes a role as Health Promotions Coordinator at the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, collaborating with Tacoma Public Schools to improve air quality through community engagement and policy initiatives. Canny's tenure at the University of Puget Sound spanned over two decades, including positions as Associate Director of New Student Orientation and Assistant Director of Student Activities for Outdoor Programs, where responsibilities involved online orientation transition and the development of adventure-based educational programs. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership and System Renewal from Seattle University, along with dual Bachelor's degrees in Politics and Government from the University of Puget Sound.
