Shilpa Verekar

Shilpa Verekar has a diverse work experience in the field of microbiology and quality assurance. Shilpa began their career as a Senior Scientist at Piramal Life Sciences in 2001 and later served as an Assistant Professor at St. Xavier's College, Mumbai. Shilpa then transitioned to roles such as Head of Technical Projects at MicroChem Silliker - Mérieux NutriSciences India before becoming the Head of the CQA Laboratory at Parle Agro Pvt Ltd in 2018.

Shilpa Verekar holds an MSc in Applied Microbiology from the College of Life Sciences, Cancer Hospital, and Research Centre Gwalior, completed between 1999 and 2001. Shilpa also obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Jiwaji University. In 2020, they received certification as an Internal Auditor for FSSC 22000 Ver 5.0 Requirements from ITCFSAN, along with a Six Sigma yellow belt certification.
