Michel de Lamotte

Michel de Lamotte has an extensive political career, currently serving as a Député au parlement de Wallonie et à la fédération Wallonie Bruxelles since October 2022. Additionally, Michel has been a Député fédéral in the Chambre des représentants Kamer van volksvertegenwoordigers since April 2015, participating in various commissions related to economy, scientific issues, and nuclear safety. Prior political roles include a Député in the Parlement wallon from 2001 to 2014, where Michel was involved in employment and education committees, and leader of the cdH group from 2004 to 2009. Earlier experience includes serving as Echevin des Finances, de l’Urbanisme et des Cultes in the Ville de Liège from 1996 to 1999, and as Premier attaché in the Région wallonne's Directorate General for Economy and Employment from 1983 to 1996. Michel de Lamotte holds a Licence en droit from the University of Liège, earned between 1977 and 1982.
