Parliament of Latvia
Karlis Kreslins is a distinguished military and academic leader with extensive experience in defense and education. Kreslins has served as a Deputy in the Parliament of Latvia since October 2011 and has held a professorship at the National Defense Academy since 2006. From 2004 to 2005, Kreslins was the Commandant of the same institution. Kreslins retired as a Brigadier General after a notable career in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Latvia, where service spanned from 1992 to 2005, including a position as Chief of the LNAF Staff from 2000 to 2004. Prior to these roles, Kreslins was engaged in education as a Professor at the Moscow Air Force Engineering Military Academy from 1977 to 1992. Kreslins holds advanced degrees in engineering sciences and military operational arts from renowned institutions, including Moscow State University and the Moscow Air Force Military Academy.
