Shadow Minister For Local Government at Parliament of NSW

Chris Rath is a prominent political figure serving as the Shadow Minister for Local Government, Shadow Special Minister of State, and Opposition Whip in the NSW Legislative Council since March 2022, representing the Liberal Party. Prior to this role, Chris Rath was the Government Relations Manager at IAG from November 2015 to March 2022 and worked as an Adviser to the NSW Minister for Industry, Resources and Energy in the NSW Government for a brief period in 2015. Experience also includes roles as Media and Public Affairs Manager and Media Manager at the NSW Minerals Council from November 2013 to April 2015, as well as an Adviser in the Parliament of NSW from April 2011 to October 2013 and an Electorate Officer in the Parliament of Australia from April 2007 to April 2011. Chris Rath holds a Master of Management in Business (2012-2014) and a Bachelor of Economics focusing on International Business, Government, and International Relations (2008-2011) from the University of Sydney.
