Patrick Atkinson

Patrick Atkinson has extensive experience in both political and financial sectors. Currently serving as the Shadow Deputy Minister for Economic Development at the Parliament of RSA since May 2014, Patrick is a member of the Portfolio Committee on Economic Development. Prior to this role, Patrick worked as a Marketing and Client Relationship Manager at Marble Group, where responsibilities included the marketing and development of an asset accounting and risk management system for the financial services sector. Previously, Patrick held various positions within the Democratic Alliance, including Shadow Mayoral Committee Member (Finance) in Johannesburg and regional vice chairman for Gauteng South. Other notable roles include consultancy positions at Constantia Alpha and HSBC, as well as serving as a Project Accountant at Merrill Lynch International Limited. Patrick holds a B.Comm LLb degree in Law from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, completed in 1985, and attended Michaelhouse from 1975 to 1979.
