Eng. Martin Santerre

Vice President Manufacturing at Parmalat Canada, Inc.

Martin Santerre has extensive work experience in various roles within the manufacturing industry. Martin started their career at Spar Aerospace Limited in 1990 as a Project Engineer and Manufacturing Manager. Martin then moved to Rolls-Royce Canada in 1996, where they worked as a Project Manager in Manufacturing. In 1997, they joined Agropur, initially as a Project Manager in the Cheese and Ingredient Division, then as the Director of Engineering in the same division, and later as the Director of Financial Analysis at the company's head office. At Agropur, they also served as Vice-President of Manufacturing and Procurement for the Natrel Division in Quebec and Ontario, where they managed all plant operations and supervised a team of over 800 managers. In 2005, they became the Plant Director of the Toronto division within Natrel. In 2008, they took on the role of Vice-President of Manufacturing and Technical Services for the Fine Cheese Division, where they oversaw all operations and technical services. From 2011 to 2015, they served as the Vice-President of Manufacturing and Procurement for the Natrel Division, managing plant operations and input procurement. In 2016, they worked as the Director of Flexible Plastic Packaging at Hood Packaging Corporation before joining Parmalat Canada as Vice President of Manufacturing in 2017. Martin currently holds the position of Vice President of Manufacturing at Lactalis Canada since December 2017.

Martin Santerre obtained a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (B. Eng.) from École Polytechnique de Montréal and California Polytechnic State University, with a duration of study from 1986 to 1990. Martin furthered their education by earning a Master's degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) and York University of Toronto, completing their studies from 1992 to 1995. In addition, they also obtained a Certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Montréal, which they pursued from 1990 to 1992.
