Rosana Arizmendi-Mejía

Rosana Arizmendi-Mejía, PhD, is an accomplished educator and environmental scientist currently serving as the Director of Education at Parque Explora since December 2022. With a strong academic background, including a PhD in Fundamental and Applied Ecology from Universitat de Barcelona, Arizmendi-Mejía has extensive teaching experience at Universidad EAFIT, where roles included Adjunct Professor for Master's and undergraduate courses in sustainability and ecology. Professional experience encompasses leadership roles, such as Head of Fundraising and Sustainability at the Alliance for Responsible Mining and Project Coordinator at PANTHERA, focusing on biodiversity conservation strategies across multiple countries in Latin America. Previous positions include a significant impact as Head of TVET and Higher Education at COMFAMA, where Arizmendi-Mejía led a multidisciplinary team to create educational opportunities for disadvantaged youth.
