Theresa Whitlock-Wild works with the Washington State University Steve Gleason Institute for Neuroscience and is the Co-Founder & Communications Director of Matt’s Place, a non-profit created to support those living with ALS & their families. She enjoys helping people learn to see the bigger picture through experiential storytelling, as well as encouraging awareness of the adaptive and accessible needs for everyone battling rare diseases and mobility issues. Theresa became a part of the ALS advocacy world when her husband, Matthew Wild, was diagnosed with ALS in 2015. Together they founded the Matt’s Place Foundation to facilitate their work in supporting other individuals and their families tackle the challenges of ALS with “uncrushable spirit.”
