Alec Salvino

Research Associate II at Parse Biosciences

Alec Salvino has four years of work experience. In 2022, they began a role as a Research Associate at Parse Biosciences. In 2021, they worked on an Undergraduate Thesis at Whitman College with professor Douglas Juers, investigating the kinetics of the protease thermolysin in high salt solutions and using Molecular Dynamics simulations and Python to characterize the global conformational movements of thermolysin in these solutions and the behavior of ions that were bound throughout the protein. In 2020, they co-founded Seattle Produce Club. In 2019, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher-PI Robert Pierce at Fred Hutch, where they used flow cytometry to screen Nanobodies for specificity and affinity to various Fc domain targets under the mentorship of Dr. Jean Campbell.

Alec Salvino attended Whitman College from 2018 to 2022 and earned a degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology with a field of study in Biological and Physical Sciences.
