Alex cofounded Parse Biosciences and leads the company as the Chief Executive Officer. He earned his PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington, where he combined synthetic biology, next-generation sequencing, and machine learning to create predictive models of biology. As a postdoctoral and Commercialization Fellow at the University of Washington, Alex co-invented a new scalable approach to single cell sequencing which became the basis for Parse Biosciences. He has been widely published in journals such as Cell and Science and holds a BSE in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
