Emily O'Connor has extensive work experience in various roles related to biosciences and education. Emily started their career at Premise Health in 2018, where they worked as an EMT-B at the Saratoga Race Course. In this role, they provided emergency medical care to attendees, workers, and jockeys at the Race Course.

In 2016, Emily began working at Skidmore College, where they held multiple positions. Emily started as an Analytical Chemistry Research Assistant, contributing to the development of a cost-effective urine-based malaria test. Emily also served as a Tour Guide and a Molecular Microbiology Research Assistant, studying copper resistance in bacterial pathogens.

At Skidmore College, Emily also served as a Head Peer Health Educator, overseeing peer health educators and the day-to-day operations of the Student Wellness Center.
