Alex Smith

Alex Smith, P.G. is an experienced geologist with a strong background in subsurface investigations and project management. Currently serving as Principal and Technical Director at Partner Engineering & Science, Inc. since November 2012, Alex oversees various projects related to soil, groundwater, and soil gas sampling activities, as well as regulatory compliance. Prior roles include Senior Project Manager and Technical Director at Partner Engineering & Science, Inc., and positions at Weatherford and PML Exploration Services, where Alex focused on gas monitoring and drill cuttings analysis during horizontal well drilling in the Barnett and Marcellus Shales. Alex also has experience managing underground storage tank projects as a Hydrogeologist at the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control and has worked as a Field Geologist with Professional Service Industries, Inc. Alex holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Ohio University, awarded in 2008.
