Ignatius Kotze

Ignatius Kotze serves as the Head of Global Actuarial Infrastructure L&H at PartnerRe, a position held since January 2009, overseeing systems and tools for Global Life and Health reserving and pricing functions, while leading the implementation of IAS methodology to comply with IFRS17 and LDTI requirements. Previously, Kotze held roles such as Head of Life Economic Reporting, focusing on MCEV, Solvency II, and Capital Modelling, and a Life Economic Reporting Actuary, responsible for coordinating Life EV consolidation and maintaining models for various contracts. Early career experience includes working as an Actuarial Assistant at Genesis Actuarial Solutions, providing pension fund consulting and ensuring regulatory compliance. Kotze's educational background includes a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com. Hons) in Actuarial Science from the University of Pretoria and nearly qualifying as an actuary through the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
