Stephanie Verganza

Stephanie Verganza has a diverse work experience. Stephanie started their career in 2013 as a Fellow at the Public Policy & International Affairs Program at Princeton University. Stephanie then worked as a Research Assistant at the National Defense University, where they conducted research on security issues in the Western Hemisphere. Stephanie also worked as a Special Programs and Events Assistant at Summer Session, where they coordinated logistics for summer programs.

Stephanie later held roles as a Research and Administrative Intern at the BRICS Policy Center and as a Junior Trips Fellow at the Pacific Council on International Policy, where they compiled research and assisted with delegation trips. Stephanie also worked as an Internship Coordinator at the UN WOMEN USNC-LA CHAPTER, where they managed the internship application process and delivered presentations.

Stephanie has also worked at the Women's Foreign Policy Group as a General Intern, assisting with event logistics and research. Stephanie has extensive experience in agriculture and food security, having worked at Partners of the Americas as an Associate Director and Senior Program Officer. In this role, they managed sub-awards, developed and delivered training, and ensured compliance with regulations. Stephanie also worked as a Program Officer, where they recruited and placed expert volunteers in agricultural value chains.

Stephanie Verganza has a diverse education history. Stephanie started their academic journey at the Universidade Católica do Salvador in 2014, where they studied Portuguese Language and Literature. In 2015, they attended Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, focusing on Portuguese Language and Literature as well as Foreign Policy. Later, they pursued their undergraduate studies at UC Irvine from 2010 to 2015, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and International Studies. Additionally, they were selected as a Junior Summer Institute Fellow in the Public Policy and International Affairs Program at Princeton University in 2013. Currently, Stephanie is enrolled at George Mason University, working towards a Master of Arts degree in Economics, which they started in 2021 and is expected to finish in 2022.
