Richard von Ernst is a seasoned real estate professional with extensive experience spanning multiple prestigious firms. Currently serving as a Realtor Associate at Compass since November 2018, Richard also holds concurrent positions as an Associate at Pacific Union International and as an Associate Partner at Partners Trust Real Estate Brokerage & Acquisitions, where an impactful journey has shaped personal and professional perspectives. Prior to these roles, Richard was a Realtor at Sotheby's International Realty from July 2003 to May 2013, focusing on representing buyers and sellers in residential real estate transactions. Before transitioning to real estate, Richard enjoyed a successful career as a costume designer for stage, film, and television from June 1980 to April 2003. Richard holds a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Fashion/Apparel Design from Pratt Institute, University of Pittsburgh, and Georgia State University.
