Senior Vice President Of School Transformation at Partnership for Los Angeles Schools

Rachel Bonkovsky has a diverse and extensive work experience. Rachel started their career as Headmaster at Boston Public Schools from July 2005 to July 2007. Rachel then joined the Center for Collaborative Education as the Director of the Los Angeles Pilot School Initiative from July 2007 to October 2009. Rachel then moved to the Los Angeles Unified School District where they held several roles, including Advisor in the Office of the Superintendent from November 2009 to May 2012, Executive Director of Intensive Support and Intervention from May 2012 to April 2013, Executive Director of Talent Management from April 2013 to December 2014, and finally as Executive Director of CORE Waiver & Human Capital Initiatives from December 2014 to April 2015. Most recently, they have been working at the Partnership for Los Angeles Schools, first as Senior Director of School Transformation from April 2015 to February 2021, and currently as the Senior Vice President of School Transformation.

Rachel Bonkovsky received their Bachelor of Arts degree from Amherst College, where they studied Biology, English, and Pre-Med from 1991 to 1995. Rachel pursued further education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, completing a Master of Arts degree in Urban Education from 1997 to 1998. Rachel later enrolled at UMass Boston and earned a CAGS (Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study) in Education Administration from 2004 to 2005.
