Debra Parsons

Debra (DeSmet) Parsons, SHRM-SCP, currently serves as HR Director at Partnership for Talent since March 2022, focusing on developing HR processes and communications. Previous experience includes HR Generalist/HR Business Partner at YMCA of the North Shore from August 2017 to March 2022, where collaboration with executive leadership and full life-cycle recruiting were key responsibilities. Debra also held the position of Operations Manager at Melrose Public Schools' After School Program (May 2013 - August 2017), overseeing operations for multiple schools. Earlier roles included Museum Educator at Andover Historical Society, Graduate Assistant and Office Assistant at St. Cloud State University, Museum Intern at Corwin House, and Tour Interpreter at Glensheen Mansion. Educational credentials include a Master of Arts in Public History from St. Cloud State University and a Bachelor’s degree in History, Political Science, Sociology, and Foreign Studies from the University of Minnesota Duluth, alongside SHRM certification in Human Resources.
