Tom Popel

Tom Popel is a seasoned professional in partnership and business development, currently serving as a Director of Industry Partnerships and Business Development at Workday since August 2021. As a member of Partnership Leaders since November 2021, Tom contributes to the growth and support of partnership leaders within the industry. Previously, Tom held the position of Global Alliances Director at Qualtrics from November 2019 to July 2021 and worked at SAP Concur for nearly a decade in various roles, including Business Development Manager for Enterprise Americas and Global Account Manager for Concur across EMEA, APA, and the US. Tom began their career as a Research Consultant at SpenglerFox and held positions in IT consulting and sales before transitioning to project management with the City of York Council. Tom earned a BMus degree from Newcastle University, graduating in 2006.
