James Sayer

James Sayer currently serves as Principal at Partnership Schools, having transitioned to this role in July 2023. Previously, James held various positions at Brilla Public Charter Schools from July 2020 to June 2023, including Assistant Principal of Academics for Upper School, where notable achievements included securing 32 high school matriculations with over $1 million in scholarships and leading a literacy program that significantly outperformed state averages. Prior to that, James worked at Brooklyn Laboratory Charter School as Deputy School Director and Dean of Instruction, contributing to strategic planning and instructional management, while also increasing student proficiency in literacy. James began the teaching career as a 6th Grade History Teacher at Achievement First Brownsville Charter School as a Teach for America Corps Member. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Educational Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Master's in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education, along with a Bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia.
