Lori Romano

Lori Romano, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the education sector. Lori has served as the Director of Career, Technical, and Adult Education at Pasco County Schools since October 2019. Prior to this, they held the position of Senior Supervisor, State/Federal Programs and Support Services at the same school district, where they were responsible for various programs and supports aligned with the district's goals. Lori also worked as a Senior Grant Writer at Pasco County Schools from July 2018 to June 2019.

Before joining Pasco County Schools, Dr. Romano worked as the Superintendent of Schools at Hernando County School District from July 2013 to July 2018. Lori also served as the Director of Adult, Secondary, Community, and Virtual Education at Martin County School District from July 2010 to June 2013.

Dr. Romano's career in education began at The Florida Department of Education, where they held various roles from July 2001 to June 2010. These roles included Director of State Personnel Development, Program Evaluator, and Coordinator of unspecified programs.

Lori Romano, Ph.D. holds a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Special Education Administration from Virginia Tech. Lori also obtained a Master's degree in Counselor Education/School Counseling and Guidance Services from Auburn University at Montgomery. Additionally, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education, specializing in Special Education-Learning Disabilities, from Troy University between 1989 and 1992.
