Pasco County Schools
Mike Baumaister has a diverse work experience in law enforcement and safety operations. Mike began their career in 1991 as a Corrections Deputy at the Pasco County Sheriff's Office. In 1996, they joined the Tampa Police Department as a Police Major and held that role for over 24 years until 2020. In their most recent position as Chief of Safety and Emergency Operations at Pasco County Schools, Mike has been responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the school district.
Mike Baumaister attended Ridgewood Highschool from 1986 to 1987. Mike later obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Criminology from the University of South Florida, completing their studies from 1990 to 1994. In 2013, they also attended the FBI National Academy Class 253, although no degree or field of study information is available for this program.
