Shaoying Wang

Shaoying Wang is a highly skilled senior scientist with extensive experience in optimizing AAV production processes and leading research initiatives in biomanufacturing. Currently at Passage Bio, Shaoying Wang is focused on improving the titer and robustness of AAV production while providing technical support for tech transfer and scale-up. Previously, Shaoying Wang served as a senior scientist at Avantor, where a research-grade plasmid production platform was established, and innovative solutions for protein engineering were implemented. As the head of innovation and biologics at Synbio Technologies, Shaoying Wang managed R&D operations, developed new technologies, and contributed to strategic planning. Shaoying Wang's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Kentucky and advanced degrees in Pharmaceutics and Biotechnology from China Pharmaceutical University.
