Harijs Deksnis

Harijs Deksnis has a diverse and extensive work experience. Harijs is currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Giraffe360, where they oversee the software department and the work of six Scrum teams. In this role, they are responsible for strategic planning, team development, user experience, and technical decision-making.

Prior to their current position, Harijs worked as a Team Lead and Team Integration & Scaling Facilitator at an innovative Latvian startup. Harijs focused on scaling teams, coaching agile methodologies, and managing day-to-day activities. Harijs also worked as a Senior Fullstack Development Consultant at Passionate People, where they expanded their expertise in modern web development and delivered talks and workshops on various topics.

Harijs Deksnis has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics & Finance from Rīgas Ekonomikas augstskola - Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, which they obtained from 2007 to 2011. Prior to that, they attended Latvijas Universitate from 2003 to 2006, where they focused on the administration of computer systems and networks. Before their university education, Harijs Deksnis completed their secondary education at Riga State 1st Gymnasium from 2000 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in "Foundations of Layout and Composition," "Managing Teams," and "Managing Technical Teams" from lynda.com in May 2015.
