Steven Dockery

Steven Dockery is the current VP of People Ops at Passport. Prior to this, they served as the Director of People & Culture at Flexential from August 2015 to September 2019. In this role, they were responsible for championing the employee experience by fostering a culture built on organizational values. Steven also served as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders throughout the organization, and staff, coached, developed, and oversaw the HR Business Partner and Talent Acquisition teams to meet business needs.

Under Steven's leadership, the HR team converted the quarterly HR update from a 25+ slide presentation to a 3 page infographic format. This change helped reduce the time commitment for employees while still providing them with key information. Steven also planned, implemented, and launched the Gallup Q12 employee engagement survey to 750+ employees, resulting in 93% participation and a continued focus on driving employee engagement. In addition, they created and launched a plan to develop an HR Business Partner playbook to document HR practices for training and scalability.

In their previous role, Steven also supported and guided the successful launch of a peer-to-peer points-based reward and recognition platform with 90% utilization. Steven has provided continued support and guidance for the organization’s diversity and inclusion program. Currently, they continue to serve as an HR Business Partner.

Steven Dockery has a Bachelor of Music from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in Instrumental Education. Steven also has an Advanced Diploma from Hargrave Military Academy in General High School Education. Additionally, they have a degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Central Piedmont Community College. Finally, Steven is certified in Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing.
