Tom Franklin

Tom Franklin is an experienced play-by-play broadcaster with a diverse background in sports commentary and media. Currently freelancing since June 2018, Franklin has held multiple broadcasting roles including lead announcer for Time Warner Cable Sports Channel and Westwood One. In addition to sports broadcasting, Franklin serves as a voice-over artist through Pastorini-Bosby Talent Agency, specializing in commercials and narration. Previous experience includes public relations coordination for the University of Houston Alumni Association and extensive work with IMG Media as the "Voice of the Cougars." Franklin has a foundational background in sportscasting that began in 1981 with KTRH Radio, making significant contributions to the coverage of Houston's major professional sports teams. Franklin's educational background includes attendance at the University of Houston from 1970 to 1976.
