Courtney Odau

Courtney Odau is an experienced professional with a strong background in fact-checking and research. Currently serving as a Fact-Checker for Scholastic since February 2025, Courtney verifies manuscripts for children's literature, and also works as a Research Strategist at SIVO, Inc. since May 2024. Prior experience includes fact-checking for Patagonia, focusing on environmentally themed manuscripts, and serving as a Copywriter at Emeritus, where marketing content for educational programs was developed. Courtney's extensive career began at Millward Brown IntelliQuest as a Senior Research Executive and continued at NI as an Independent Market Research Analyst. Academically, Courtney holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and a Bachelor of Arts in French from Southern Methodist University, along with a Professional Sequence in Editing from UC Berkeley Extension.
